NO JOY Help me recover from "Error installing sysadmin"

I was doing my PBX updates and encountered this error:

Installing sysadmin
package sysadmin is not installed Unable to determine sysadmin rpm version...exiting
Error(s) installing sysadmin:

• Failed to run installation scripts

As far as I can tell, that is baseless. The update directory lists the current version as 12.0.12 and the upgrade version as 12.0.17.2.

I have a vanilla PiaF installation. CentOS Linux 6.5. Asterisk 1.8.28. FreePBX 12.0.43. Nothing commercial enabled.

So far I've tried running the script again and running it after "amportal chwon". Neither has changed things.

One outside possibility, I disabled the FreePBX ARI Framework a ways back because of security advice. It is now version 2.11.1.4, "disabled, up to date", and has the note "vulnerable, requires 12.0.5."

Basic PBX still works.

Minor update, when this first happened I checked that both incoming and outgoing calls still worked. Then I rebooted to see if that fixed anything. I thought I tested both incoming and outgoing again but either one stopped or I forgot outgoing.

Incoming calls are still working.
Outgoing calls get the "all circuits are busy" message.

Flailings will continue until morale improves.

I found someone who had the same problem back in October 2013. After making sure I had everything backed up, I followed these steps:

yum clean all

yum install sysadmin
yum list installed sysadmin

I ran "rmp -Va --nofiles --nodigest" and managed to lock up Firefox a few times trying to post the results. I'm not sure which bits are relevant so I've decided not to try to post the whole thing. I get a lot of errors like those associated with "rpm_check_debug" above. Here are the clearer bits.
