I have a PBX I can't locate password to get into it.
I need to update IP address to some new phones I just received. The person who installed the system for me is nowhere to be found.
Please help me.

I am entering the IP address from my network and I get to a main screen ashing for password, that is as far as I can go

Which password can you not gain entry to?

The FreePBX passwords / maint or wwwadmin.

If you have access to the console, just type passwd-master or passwd-maint and change the password to something you do know.

If you have not got ssh access then you will have to put a monitor and keyboard on the system, and change it there by booting up in single user mode.

Boot the box, press space to stop the boot at the grub screen, and chose the kernel you want to load.

Type e to edit, and go to the end of the line and add the word single.

back at the grub screen, type b to boot which will take you to you command prompt.

type passwd

change the password to something else, then reboot, and run passwd master so you can get into FreePBX.
