Help with outbound Dialing

Hello all, This is an issue to help with the wife acceptance factor of having the piaf box here at the house. My wife does not like having to 1. Dial the number then 2. click dial to make an outbound call. Is there a way to configure asterisk to make the calls as requested. I am running a mixed environment with a handy tone ata adapter, Mitel Phones and a linksys SPA phone.

Pls provide a little more detail... normally there is a timeout period after dialing before the ATA or phone will assume your done dialing. This time and behavior can be altered. One involves setting the wait time after the last digit is dialed. the other is changing the dialplan in the ATA or phone so that it will complete immediately.
