I am running the latest incredible PBX Purple from Ward and it is nothing short awesome!

I have taken one of my Aastra 6757i phones down to my other office and have been trying to make it work. I've read and re-read every article on this topic I can find, but it won't register with the PBX. I can make outbound calls believe it or not, but the caller ID shows as blocked.

I have a fixed IP at the outside location. I've edited IPtables per Wards recommendations and added that one IP address. Opened the ports per his specs. bought the firewall he recommended.

I have Travelin' Man running and working and have hit the site from the browser at work thinking that would make it work. But the phone still says "No Service and won't receive an inbound call.

Desperate here for some new ideas on where to turn.

Try inserting 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0 as the permit entry for that extension. If that fixes it, just substitute the actual IP address in the format: ipaddress/255.255.255.255.

If that didn't fix it, then the problem is with a firewall. Briefly turn off IPtables (service iptables stop) and see if that fixes it. If so, there's something wrong with your IPtables entry. Don't forget to turn it back on.

If that didn't fix it, then the problem is with your hardware-based firewall. Map the standard collection of UDP ports (including 5060) to the IP address of your Asterisk server, and try again.

Good luck!

Thanks so much Ward.

Ok, so I triple checked to make sure all the right ports are forwarded to the pbx. UDP 5000-5082, UDP 10000-20000 and UDP 5222 for GV.

I turned off IPTables per your instruction.

I set the extension permit to 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0
Wasn't sure what to do with the extension deny. default is 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0. I tried it that way and tried deleting that entry altogether.

I can make outbound calls from the remote phone even though it says "No Service" and is not registered. This phone was programmed with the Aastra plug and play script prior to taking it down to the office, and it worked here inside the firewall.

My internal phones work great and my Travelin' Man works great for my iPhone.

I'm using DIR-655 firewall/router.

Any ideas on where to focus my energy at this point?
