How do I get PBXinaFlash to answer my current phone number ?

Would Call forwarding work ?

Would MA BELL Call forwarding work temporarily ?

ie. forward my main MA BELL tel number to my les.net DID number ?

Just for me to test the Orgasmatron for the weekend ?

Sure. Call forwarding works great... in either direction.

Yea. I just tried it ... works Great.

Looks like Tuesday will be Orgasmatron/Aastra all the way. My main line has a "Rollover" line (which I believe has it's own phone number) ... I wonder if that will cause problems ..... ?

Seemed to work fine. I used my office to call my office simultaneously with my Cell phone and both ended up on my Aastra phones ... :)

Now to make the Greeting in my own voice .... hmmmmm ....

ie. to replace this ..

"Thank you for calling ... Please hold a moment while we locate someone to take your call"

Spend $24 for Cepstral and it can say anything you like. See comment 4 to this article.

Code:
swift -o cell.wav "To reach a family member, press 1 for Billy Bob, or press 2 for Nerd Uno. Or leave a voicemail message by pressing star now."

a TDM device of some sort

Transmission using Time Division Multiplexing (TDM)

In circuit switched networks such as the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) there exists the need to transmit multiple subscribers’ calls along the same transmission medium.[2] To accomplish this, network designers make use of TDM.

but I would recommend a TDM card.

VoIP vs. TDM

Which TDM device ?

I like Sangoma cards, but a Digium or Rhino card would work also. Put one of these in your server, configure it and plug in the phone line.

Then the daunting task of creating a dial plan. Enjoy and have fun.

How daunting are these dialplans ?

I guess the proper answer is, "it depends." :) The TDM card I use and recommend is a Sangoma. You plug it in, follow the step-by-step instructions on their website and it works.

If you buy a SPA-3102, you will have a bear of a time configuring it. Once you get that first one working, you won't have any trouble with subsequent ones.

The dial plan for home use isn't too bad. If you are setting one up for multi-company hosting, it will be more challenging.

Basically, the dial plan is a group of outbound routes that route calls using the trunks you have on the machine. Mine starts with an emergency route. The pattern match is 911. I want those calls to be processed quickly, so it is the first one.

Next would be your local routes. Here you will list the local exchanges in your area and send them out the trunk that you will handle local calls on, probably your PSTN line. The match pattern will look like this, if you live in a area where 7-digit dialing works.

NXXXXXX

I have 10-digit dialing here, so mine looks like:

828494XXXX
706632XXXX

and so on.

Next, you will need a long distance route. My match pattern for that is:

1NXXNXXXXXX

and you will send it out whatever trunk you want to handle you long distance.

That is a basic dial plan. I have separate routes for Atlanta calls, and calls to various other small towns in North Georgia. As I get my Dundi cloud larger, I will eliminate serveral routes.

Have a great evening Doc.
