There I was thinking you only wanted an outgoing mail server.

If your ISP is blocking outbound emails I suggest you find a better one.

While I do appreciate that you are trying to help me here, you are getting frustrated with how it is going. So am I. I have followed everything in TFM. But it is not working.

Then set up a gmail relay and be done with it, it works fine and there are more than one recipe out there how to do that with postfix

Didn't I suggest you RTFM? you are messing with email before you know what you are doing, DON'T do that. Get your mail server working first. your mailname should be the same as your domain names MX record

The MX record for wildly-successful.com does not resolve to my asterisk box. However, pbx1.wildly-successful.com does resolve to it in the DNS records.

Thanks for your help. I seem to have been able to send and receive an email after following directions about how to configure postfix to use Gmail... Wow!

Yes, I just a voicemail on an extension and Postfix emailed me via Gmail Relay. I received the MP3 voicemail.

I just verified that it relays the inbound fax to my email. Yay!
