Hurricanes Frances & Jean in 2004 is what got me into voip when I opened my own office in 2006. Had to have multiple redundancies for service with landline, voip and cell. Lost the landlines soon after as voip was acceptable quality and 1/10 the price of landline in those days. I have never looked back.
