Then you dont have to depend on someone else to host them?

Joe Roper has opened a new Project at the Development Support Site for this script, and its ongoing maintenance and developement. The Project can be found here.

The Main script can be pulled directly from the SVN by all without authentication.

This link should generally point to the current version of the main script file.

Note, I have made some simple changes, e.g. to install the later version of avantfax, and drawing down the files from source, but I have not got round to actually testing it all in one go, so test systems only please until I get a look at it, or someone else confirms it's OK.

extraction of avantfax-3.3.2.tar.gz fails because its a .tgz file...

also the rh-install is installing avantfax into /var/www instead of /var/www/html

This has been corrected - and the links work as they should now. These links generally allways point to the most current version of the script. If you want previous version, they are also available through the web interface.

Can the script be used to update and earlier installation of Hylafax/Avantfax? I am sure there are risks, but are there any apparent issues?

No, don't do it. You will duplicate all sorts of things.

Just upgrade avantfax only.
