Inbound direct to vm-no rings on sender or rcvr ¡FIXED!

Trying to recover from a hardware failure and move over into a new box. Thank the Big guy for the folks over at Rhino who got me all hooked up with my r1t1 and channel bank. I have 6 inbound pots lines and 8 inbound DID lines. Inbound calls on the Pots go to IVR just fine, but when an extension is hit, caller goes directly to VM. Inbound DID calls go directly to the DID users VM line, no rings heard on either end. Voicemail gets left etc. But the extension just isn't ringing. Outbound calls work just fine.
Your help and time are much appreciated.

Is this only for calls from the PSTN?

Can you call from another extension direct?

Does the Flash Operator Panel show the extension up?

Any chance the Mute button is on?

all calls PSTN and ext 2 ext
FOP gives green to the extension
no mute, not time for mute, goes directly to vm
thanks

Though Client/server version mismatch comes up at top of page?

Hmm... it is beyond me, but I would research that client/server version mismatch. Where is that message showing up? At the top of the FreePBX System Status?

Still goin

client/server mismatch cleared up by a poorly executed backup of admin in www.

Anyhow, still in the same boat. Tried cycling dnd on handsets etc. All seems very funky to me.

Thanks again.

Something is fishy with your install. The dial script is failing due to a missing perl module. Have no idea why that would be. As a test you can install that module and see what happens.

--------
perl -MCPAN -eshell
install Net::Telnet
quit
--------

If the install command returns failed, I'm out of clues. Basically I think I would nuke and reload to make sure you have a good install. Oh, did you do any customization to the dial scripts? Any chance it is calling something abnormal?

EDISONINFO = personal hero

/usr/bin/make install -- OK

wham bam thank you, you.

Anyhow I didn't do anything to the dial scripts. This is however a test box that has been updated via Free-PBX (swapped in to replace a failed A@H box) for the past year or so, so I am thinking that a nuke is in order down the line.

Thanks again for your assistance.
