I've got a new PiaF 1.1 site with a Digium TDM400 (4xFXO) that's having serious issues with DTMF Recognition over Zaptel (inband) on the inbound... that is inbound callers are being routed to entirely the wrong destinations.

zttest is reporting consistent 99% accuracy, and I should also note that there are zero problems with echo.

As for running fxotune, please confirm this is correct:
amportal stop
modprobe zaptel
modprobe wctdm
/usr/src/zaptel/fxotune -i 4

nano /etc/rc.local
- add before amportal start: /usr/src/zaptel/fxotune -s

I've already tried setting relaxdtmf to both yes and no, without affect.

This site was previously running TB 2.2.x perfectly in the exact same PC, audioboard, etc. The only thing which has changed is the drive.

Hoping someone can help give direction...

Have you checked the levels on the zap channels? A level that is too high or too low can cause that problem. ztmonitor will give you a set of level meters so you can see how loud the levels are.
Also, what does the CLI show when a caller presses a button?

Cheers,
Mike

I've run fxotune again, and I had already had adjusted the gain down... but one thing I noticed is that gain adjustments appear to have zero affect on sound recordings, only conversation. The lady that had recorded the main greeting was a.) a bit high pitch and b.) not outright loud (was listenable), but by no means quiet either. So I re-recorded the greeting in my low, male voice... speaking more gently than authoritatively (i.e. softer).

Running fxotune again helped (not going to hurt), but I think my money is on the greeting being the root of the problem... I could not get it to fail and I haven't heard any complaints since.

P.S.
Yep, I'm in the US, so zaptel is just fine :) I also confirmed no noise on line w/ butt set.

Thanx for all the input! =Þ
