incoming pstn spa3102 problem

I am currently having issues with configuring my 3102 I tried uncle Wards but couldnt get any thing working. I also tried Ian Worthington's and can get out going calls working great but still cant get incoming on the pstn to work. I have the 3102 set up as a trunk but as far as I can tell the 3102 isnt passing the call to piaf. mabey its my dial plan in the 3102? i just want the calls to come in and go to my ivr.

Enable Allow Anonymous Sip in FreePBX and try a call while watching the command line and see if it is hitting the machine. If it is, you have some sort of credential problem. The 3102's are not hard to set up with FreePBX, but they are intimidating.

thanks for the tip John, I had forgot all about the cli.... I'm a newb and haven't messed with asterisk for about two years.... anyway I logged in and stuff was happening (while it was set to no anonymous sip) it was trying to initiate 7777 (something i put in the dial plan on the spa 3102 to see if that would simulate an incoming call and get me to the IVR.). I had tried all sorts of Dial Plans to see if I could get something to work but after watching the cli it said "you might need a DID for this" so i created a new inbound route with the DID of "7777" and it worked...
don't know why it made a difference since i already had a route that was blank so it would pick up any DID or any CID? Do you know why that made a difference? (It bugs me when I don't know why things work.)

Oops spoke too soon

Found the real problem the fax handling on Inbound route was set to NV fax detection. When I changed that to none on the "any DID/CID" (when I created the new DID route) that cleared up the problem. dose that mean that I won't be able to receive faxes from the pstn? that is what this line is supposed to be.... (testing on non essential line for wifes approval)

Fax isn't my area of expertise. It is on my list of neat stuff to play with.
