Incoming RTP Connections Being Rejected

Hi, I've configured an Aastra 57iCT with a single SIP Trunk and I'm able to make outbound calls without issue.

But I am only able to receive calls occasionally. I am behind a firewall and I'm forwarding all traffic from my VOIP provider to my Asterisk box (to avoid the port range as a possibility while testing). I've also enabled 10000-60000 in my rtp.conf file, again, just for testing.

The problem (I can see using tcpdump) I'm seeing is that my Asterisk box is receiving inbound high port connections from my provider (so it's making it through the firewall), but Asterisk is sending back a port unreachable message. So, for example, my provider will try and connect on port 37645 (or whatever) and my Asterisk box sends a port unreachable.

So the question is--how do I get PBXinaFlash (Asterisk) to accept these packets? I have the rtp.conf setting there for 10000-60000, but I'm still rejecting incoming traffic within that range.

I must be missing something simple here. It's very frustrating, as this is causing me to not be able to receive calls. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi

Have you opened up the firewall on the PBX itself. Its set to 10,000 to 20,000

These values can be easily adjusted via webmin

Actually, I just disabled the iptables service temporarily via `service stop iptables`. The ICMP unreachable messages are still being sent.
