Incompatible version of dahdi?

So I am trying to get asterisk 1.6 working with dahdi. The payload that installed was asterisk 1.6.1.1 and dahdi 2.2.0-rc5+2.2.0-rc3. Unfortunately, when I try to compile the 0.99 rhino dahdi drivers, they fail to do so with errors due to some header file changes. This was all working on my non-piaf box, so I checked there and saw I was running dahdi 2.1.4. So, I downloaded, compiled and installed dahdi 2.1.4 and the rhino drivers compiled and installed fine, but the system status is still telling me the version is 2.2.0.xxxxx. I'm assuming there is something I need to change/delete, but I'm not sure where?
