TIPS IncrediblePBX to IncrediblePBX PJSIP trunk

My brother-in-law is adding a second location to his business, he'd like a PBX at each site and of course like calling between sites. As a test, I set up a SIP trunk between his PBX and a test one I have at home. The problem is, the PJSIP trunk set up doesn't look the same, does anyone know of a howto that explains how to do it?

Use iax2 trunk
I have a client with nine locations using iax2 trunks
Any office can call any other office by dialing their 3 digit extension

Link this example uses one office for in and out DID
If each office has its own DID just build an outgoing route to handle the calls to be sent to the other office

Does he really need a second PBX? One would likely suffice.

If the two sure were closer together I'd agree. But they will be around 24 miles away and the second site won't have the most reliable Internet from his current findings. It needs to be able to operate independently if needed.
