For the last couple of days I have been testing IncrediblePBX-2020 (virtualbox vm) and I am very impressed.
I was under the impression that an Ubuntu (installable) version (script) was in prep.
Is it the case? Is it out yet? Anytime soon? or Ubuntu is now off the radar?

I saw that, but since Raspbian 10 is actively supported I thought that a Debian version (and maybe by extension an Ubuntu version) might be on the radar.
It would be a sad day (at least for me) if there is no more pbxinaflash support for Ubuntu. (Actually I care less for Ubuntu than Debian which is my base for all Linux products that I work on).

Ubuntu used to be easy to support because all the .04 releases were compatible with previous releases. But they broke that and stopped supporting ODBC among other things with the 18.04 release. It was just too labor intensive to continue support on yet another incompatible platform moving forward because you had to rely on non-standard repos to keep the original functionality. 18.04 release of Incredible PBX 16-15 is much the same as Incredible PBX 2020 if that helps. Sorry.

Just out of curiosity, how easy/complicated is to turn the Raspbian installer into Debian installer, from a purely building block perspective. Do you see the same difficulties or obstacles with Debian compared to Ubuntu?

On a separate thought, in light of the recent issues with the FreePBX+Asterisk ownership (I'm referring to the ongoing saga), do you see incrediblepbx to change base and start building on FreeSwicth+FusionPBX?

The build for the Raspberry Pi is an image, not an installer.

Definitely not moving to FreeSwitch or FusionPBX. We do already have a build for VitalPBX if you want to give it a try.

Just an FYI that we've gone back and tested Incredible PBX 13-13U with Ubuntu 18.04.3. Both the LEAN and Full Enchilada versions still work as advertised. BUT do not attempt to update any of the FreePBX modules, or you may permanently break things. Everything is still behind the TM3 firewall so compromises will not be an issue. Even works on Cloud@Cost.

THIS IS NOT A RECOMMENDED PLATFORM BUT IT DOES WORK.

That's kind of strange. Never heard of anyone running FreePBX on Ubuntu and the module updates breaking things. So how does this break things?

@Samot Great question. You and I would both love to know the answer. Probably an old module that breaks things.

Well the reason I ask is, I've done this before and I know people that exclusively run FreePBX on Ubuntu 16.04 and 18.04. They run v12, v13 and v14 of FreePBX on Ubuntu without issue (as I did in the past on 16.04). The module updates do not break anything.

So if there is something breaking in your distro, I'm curious as to what is breaking because that's not normal.

You're more than welcome to dive deeper. I'm not blaming Ubuntu at all. This whole distro is way past EOL as are Asterisk 13 and FreePBX 13 so I'm not going to waste any more time on it. Was just posting a warning for those that may still be using it.
