Trying to install PIAF v 1.4. CentOS installs fine, when install for PIAF starts it hangs up at the Now Compiling Zaptel. I know it can take a while and I resisted the urge to tap the enter key overnight, still nothing. This is a HP/Compaq EVO D150 Pentium IV. 512mb menory and 200gig HD.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

What does the log file in /root say? There are any number of things that can go wrong

'Pango Cairo', not found

Thanks for your response, This is the beginning of the item that puts it in a loop. The below and associated following commands are repeated over and over. checking for pkg-config... pkg-config Package cairo was not found in the pkg-config search path. Perhaps you should add the directory containing `cairo.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable Package 'cairo', required by 'Pango Cairo', not found

to reset the BIOS I took the cmos battery out and replaced it. Sure enough, I did not reset the date/time. After your suggestionm I reset the date/time, restarted the installation and it worked fine. Thanks for your help.
