As far as buying Allison - Cepstral is happy to sell her at their website.
www.cepstral.com, click on the STORE tab. You select the language from the drop down box (Im thinking you probably want English). Select the 8Khz version of the voice, and linux as the platform.
Following Wards instructions, Allison will be up and talking in about 5 minutes.
