Hello.

I run PIAF in house behind a firewall. I have inbound SIP accounts through Vitelity.

All of my phones are Linksys SPA942's running the latest firmware.

90% of my inbound calls are great. The other 10% result in one-way audio. The caller can hear me but I can't hear them. I hang-up the phone, they re-dial and I can the hear them great. (after apologizing of course)

I've read all the posts on one-way audio and think I have everything set right - yet the problem persists.

On my firewall, I've forwarded the following to my PBX: (I realize that both UDP and TCP mappings may not be necessary but I was trying anything)

RTP: 10000-20001 TCP/UDP
SIP: 5004-50082 TCP/UDP
IAX2: 4569 TCP/UDP

I've also enabled all of the Sip_custom.conf settings as below:

nat=yes
externhost=pbx.mydomainname.com
externrefresh=15
localnet=192.168.11.0/255.255.255.0
port=5060
bindaddr=192.168.11.50

Yet the problem persists. :banghead:

What direction would the great minds of this forum point me in hopes of completely eliminating this issue?

Thanks!

J

What FireWall are you using? I had a similar issue with one of my providers and they were able to diagnose it as a FW issue. We made a slight change and all was well.

Firewall

I'm using a DLink router.

I think i'll pick up a new Linksys and put 3rd party firmware on it and see where I get to.

I will reply with my findings in case somebody else has this problem.

When I was testing I had issues with the default linksys firmware. I switched to tomato and all my nat problems went away. I liked tomato alot. Now I use pfsense and for the most part it works fine.
