Hi,

I have installed the IP country script. All went well until the part where one the ipchecker.sh. At that point it adds lines to the rules that don't work. My understanding is that that script should not be adding anything to the rules? I get entries like this in the rules after I apply that script.

# stranger
-A INPUT -s 4 online, 142 o -j DROP

which one of the lines that will give an error.

ANy ideas?

update on this:

When I take out the problematic lines, iptables appears to be starting fine. Fail2ban however throws out errors.

2011-05-29 08:10:34,617 fail2ban.actions.action: ERROR iptables -n -L INPUT | grep -q fail2ban-SSH returned 100
2011-05-29 08:10:34,617 fail2ban.actions.action: ERROR Invariant check failed. Trying to restore a sane environment
2011-05-29 08:10:34,623 fail2ban.actions.action: ERROR iptables -D INPUT -p tcp --dport ssh -j fail2ban-SSH
iptables -F fail2ban-SSH
iptables -X fail2ban-SSH returned 100

Fail2ban does appear to be working though - tested that by registering an extension with the wrong credentials.
