Ip6tables offline... is this a problem?

After upgrading fail2ban to 0.83 the system shows Ip6tables OFFLINE. However Apache is ONLINE, so I am okay, right?

root@pbx:~ $ service ip6tables start
root@pbx:~ $ /etc/rc.d/init.d/iptables status
Firewall is stopped.
root@pbx:~ $ /etc/rc.d/init.d/ip6tables status
Firewall is stopped.

The not to be questioned company IT administrator assures me that port 5060 is closed, too.
