for some reason caller id superfecta asteridex in debug mode on the web browser returns correctly:

Processing Default Scheme.
Searching AsteriDex ... Alan Mobile
result took 0.0043 seconds.

however once this caller id name is inserted into asterisk it seems to enter a carriage return before the name: (output from cdr log)

vmu201","ext-local","""
Alan Mobile"" <079827xxxx>","DAHDI/1-1","SIP/205-00

this has the effect of breaking caller id on the handsets and the system goes nuts!

i think i just need to find whereabouts the sql lookup value gets inserted into the callerid(name)?

hope that makes sense.

thanks

update:

further investigation leads me to doing this:

http://127.0.0.1//admin/modules/superfecta/bin/callerid.php?thenumber=07982xxxxxx)})

returns (correctly) Alan Mobile

HOWEVER view source of the html output and it actually shows:

1
2 Alan Mobile

aha! here is my carriage return!!

but how do i get rid of it?

i have replaced the callerid.php from at the above location from another good known working system. no joy.

If it's coming from Asteridex, then it's in your Asteriskdex data. Go clear out your entry and add it again and see what happens.
