I've got a google apps account, so it requires me to modify a few conf files manually. The jabber.conf file (/etc/asterisk/) says not to edit it, and it seems to revert to the old version quite often. How do I make a simple change to this conf so it sticks (without any crazy scripts)

Thanks!

How about adding an include file and making the file read only, or changing permissions to something where the GVoice module will not have rights to edit the file.

Some work around for all us Google Apps people!!!

Yep. I'm in the same boat. Google Apps acccount @mydomain.com and the module auto adds the @gmail.com. I just removed the module from FreePBX and did the config manually.

This module is like a poison apple. I don't want to touch it. Most other people don't want to touch it. The author has abandoned it. There's seriously so much political drama surrounding the module and I've talked to both the module author and freepbx. It's just a nightmare. Which is unfortunate.

It's kinda stale until 2.10 comes out. Which then it will probably be included as a core module.
