Looking for a short list a quality providers for my IAX2 trunks. Appreciate your experiences. I currently am using Vitelity, Lesnet, Fonica. I am losing Voicepulse since they are dropping IAX2, and Lesnet had long lag for me recently.

voip.ms has been doing a great job for us since we had to leave laggy les.net. Their LNP process however is pathetic.

I too am going to miss VoicePulse's IAX. I've been testing Voip.ms for the past couple of months using IAX with no issues.

http://www.future-nine.com/ is a company that I don't use currently, but have been impressed with the dedication and efforts of the owner on dslreports.com's voip tech forum over the past year or so. He supports IAX and has been getting good reviews- http://www.dslreports.com/comments/3245

Yes I am using Joe's service. It has worked well except for one server down time, and is a way to give back to everything done here. :smile5:

I was on VoicePulse's IAX service too, but I have chosen to move to their SIP service only because they have some great rates to Japan that make sense for me. Wish IAX was still supported by them though.

I've got many, many customers signed up with them (and others)... no issues w/ DTMF Recognition on either their old or new network.

There is also voipjet.com, outbound only tho... Been using them for years as a backup.

That's news to me... not got a single site w/ a problem recognizing DTMF (all using SIP, not IAX). In fact, all of our latest systems going out w/ 1.4.21.2 are intentionally without the SIP DTMF patch (no problems).

I like Joe's service, and I've had only three bad quality calls and two outages. But it's on the left coast and I'm on the right. And it's cheap!

I too signed up for Voip.Ms and like that they have locations all over. I do agree that the porting of the numbers sucks. I requested mine be ported 12/22 and still don't have a transfer date!

Les.net's IAX isn't recommended, even by Les himself. I tried it myself and it was not stable.

Marv - contact the folks at voipms and ask them to update your status. They have recently sent an email saying they have had some troubles with their support ticketing system.

It took them far to long to assess our proof of ownership paperwork (How long can it take to review a single sheet of paper??) but in the last three weeks, ouor poprting requests have been actually moving along through the system.

Only thing I worry about with voipms is that there is no way to set your account to NOT autorefill. Contract does not say when for sure they disable the account if balance is negative or zero.
