I am running a system with Asterisk 1.4.41, and FreePBX 2.9.0.15, on Centos 5.11, and it has been up for over 3 years without problems. I am using the Aastra XML scripts, and about 60 Aastra 6757i phones.
Since I have a few users with more than one office in different cities, I am in Device/User mode, which allows several devices to have the same extension number, and allows the user to change the extension number on any phone. This was a Major selling point in the original setup.
The Aastra scripts do not operate correctly with 6739i phones, so I would like to consider upgrading to a later version of everything, but I am not sure how to go about it. First of all, what versions are stable, bug-free, etc., and second, how do I incorporate the features offered by the scripts for auto-configuration, and the assignment of the same extension number to multiple phones?
Thanks for any suggestions from the group.
