Ma Bell Voicemail

Why are the calls coming into my PIAF that are not answered (incoming set to ring indefinately) not going into the Voicemail at bellsouth.

Call Bellsouth and have them remove the voicemail on that line...

The user travels and feel more assured of not missing any meesages if the pbx is down for any reason they can still get messages from Ma Bell. They want to still retrive voicemail from Ma Bell for each of the two lines and not from PIAF

Disable voicemail for the extensions that don't want to have Asterisk voicemail.

I'm thinking that your system is answering the call, but passing ringing on to the calling party. So your bell voicemail is not picking up.

Turn off your PBX and then call the number associated with it. See if Ma Bell picks up then.
