Hi there!

I've got some Grandstream 2000 phones and a PIAF server I'm puttin gin my synagogue. These phones have four line presences. It seems if I configure the phones for the sames extensions only one physical phone gets noticed by the pbx. That seems to make sense. What I want to do is have an extension for the office, the Rabbi's office, his house and his wife's office. I've got some ring groups/follow me's setup and that all works. Guess I could create extra extensions for each phone but obviously this is sitting in front of my face and I am too close to it. ALl suggestions welcome. Thanks Leon

Unfortunately, what you are hoping for is a bridged line appearance or bridged call appearance. Asterisk does not support this in any reasonable form to simulate the old fashioned key-system where each phone picked up on the same outside lines.

You can use ring groups, call parking and busy indicators but with Asterisk based systems, you cannot yet do what you outline above.

UGH! :confused5:

What I have temporarily done is create an alternate extension. But wait I don't need to do this. All I need is setup the follow-me and with the extra line appearances on each phone it should work right.

Thanks
