I am looking for a configuration howto to connect a multitech MVP210 to my telco lines and configure so I can make my outgoing local calls using those before I use the sip provider.
I assume I need to create a trunk. I read it is supposed to work and so far no luck here.
Thanks
Sergio

Here is my trunk in Piaf..

type=peer
context=from-pstn
host=10.x.x.x
nat=no
insecure=very
canreinvite=no
qualify=yes
disallow=all
allow=alaw&ulaw

Here are some screen snapshots of my MVP config.

Edit: I have mine set up for FXO signaling. It is on a test box connecting to two X100P cards in my main PBX at home.

Thanks for the info, I got it to work and make calls out with no problem. but when a call comes in I get a dialtone from the asterisk box, on that dialtone I can dial an ext and it works. any ideas how I can automatically send the call to an ext?
I try to play with the phonebook but no go.

Hi Tabber

could you help me i working with a multitech device MVP810-FX we use this to comiunicate between an asterisk and avaya system.

so the fxs ports go to and analog card CO lines.

so i register the multitech as a sip trunk but i had been unaviable to call to it.

i actually get calls from the another end.

I use a two digit code to access the trunk, then send the digits to dial.
What do you have configured for your outbound route?
