I still have a laptop from late 2009 which came with Vista (on clearance as 7 was about to come out). I have gone through many hard drives in it. Putting in a SSD brought new life into it.

I doubt anyone still has a functioning drive from that long ago.

Still on hold with Microsoft support, been on call for 19 years, 3 months, 5 days, and 9 1/2 hours, BUT they keep coming on every 10 minutes stating that call volume is larger than normal and someone will answer my call shortly. I am too trusting... I'm addicted to the hold music....

Windows 8 was actually very good for tablet like devices. It even had what Android and iOS still do no have; a gesture on the IE browser to go forward again if you went back a page, just like an eBook.

It was not so good for for desktops. I saw a lot of tablets spawn off of Windows 8. Then for some reason, the so-called "tablet mode" in Windows 10 was nothing like it was in Windows 8, and all those tablets went away.

Ugghh - I hated 8, 7-Pro was my favorite. Still haven't gone to an Android desktop ... YET
