I'm just getting ready to follow the PBX-in-a-flash 1.1 tutorial, installing in a Parallels virtual machine on my Mac Pro.
Reading ahead, I see: "from the command prompt, run genzaptelconf. This sets up your ZAP hardware"...
Er.
My what?
I'm setting up Asterisk on a virtual machine, connecting to a VoIP "trunk", using an SIP SoftPhone. I checked out the zaphardware web site, but they sell PCI cards. I don't know where the PCI slots are for my virtual machine. Are they in /var/lib/pci?
No, but... I'm guessing that Zaptel has come to mean some generic audio API, and that there's some dummy/pseudo interface I'll end up configuring?
