I just installed IPBX 13-13.3 for Scientific Linux, Asterisk 13.21.0 Incredible 13.0.120.10 ...

The after install directions say to run /root/update-passwords. I don't have this file in my root directory. What username and password should I use to login the first time after install?

Thanks,
Gotel

I've seen that message a lot of times. For one thing you must reboot before you can do anything else. There's no arguing.

Once you do, of course you'll be dropped back into your local computer shell. And if you're looking for /root/update-passwords locally, they are not to be seen.

Hopefully you'll see them at /root/update-passwordsonce you log back into the pbx in-question.

The text could be more clear. Maybe in the future. If anyone has been bitten by the bug and understands it, they might offer to help. I'm trying to help now with this text.

Log back in with your root password, and then run that utility.

Whole Enchilada comes with update-passwords. Lean doesn't need it because there's only the GUI password that needs setting. Run: admin-pw-change.
