New voip.ms Hostnames

In order to simplify the addition of multiple geographic servers in the future and also to prevent confusion with the geographic location of our servers, we're updating the naming convention of all our VoIP servers. This change also removes the need to prefix all hostnames with the protocol (such as .sip.. and .iax2..)

Please note that the old hostnames (sip.us, sip.ca, sip.uk and iax2.xx) will remain operational. However, starting November 1st, our technical staff will be unable to offer technical assistance regarding connection to our services, if you're still using the old naming convention.

The period of time allowed should give all our customers enough time to update the hostnames on their soft phones, devices, switches, PBX Systems and other VoIP Equipment to the new hostnames.

The new hostnames are effective now.

List of new server host names:

- sip.us1.voip.ms and iax2.us1.voip.ms updated to houston.voip.ms
- sip.us2.voip.ms and iax2.us2.voip.ms updated to dallas.voip.ms
- sip.us3.voip.ms and iax2.us3.voip.ms updated to losangeles.voip.ms
- sip.us4.voip.ms and iax2.us4.voip.ms updated to newyork.voip.ms
- sip.ca1.voip.ms and iax2.ca1.voip.ms updated to montreal.voip.ms
- sip.ca2.voip.ms and iax2.ca2.voip.ms updated to toronto.voip.ms
- sip.uk1.voip.ms and iax2.uk1.voip.ms updated to london.voip.ms

Important: Please note that the new hostnames do NOT require to be prefixed with the protocol sip. Or iax2.
