Really stuck at the moment and could do with some pointers.

I know the primary problem associated with audio is firewall however......

I have a fully working freepbx system which I built and this is working through the firewall without problems.

Because of the gvoice and skype integration and also many of Ward's great scripts I decided to build using the incrediblepbx. Fully appreciate that this is a very different beast so manually entered all trunk/dial strings/extension details etc from scratch.

The incrediblepbx is on a different IP address (obviously), however I can take the live system down and switch the incrediblepbx to the IP of the production server. This saves re-configuring all local and remote extensions etc.

The problem is that internal extension to extension works but internal to external extension and vice versa has no audio in either direction :(

I have modified sip_nat.conf to contain

nat=yes
externip=mydynamicipdomainname
localnet=192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0

Also used "Asterisk SIP settings" in Freepbx to reflect the same info.

So really need some pointers - have used disable-iptables - just incase...

Thank you (for reading this), and thank you for your suggestions :)

Mike

I found a couple of problems, don't know which was the actual fix.
I had an externhost setup in sip_general_additional.conf
This works on my production machine so I had replicated it on the pbiaf box.
The other possible issue was that I had the dynamic domain name in the /etc/host file (seemed logical to me).
By applying these fixes everything started to work as expected :)

Your issue was both. You need to use externhost= when configuring for a fully qualified domain name, not externip=. Externip is for when you are using an ip address.
