No confirmation email

when I fax using AvantFax or the WinPrint driver. the fax goes through. however I do not get the confirmation email.. however I know that outbound emails are working as when I get a voicemail it does email me the VoiceMail.

what else should I check?

Are they sitting in your mail queue? Does sendmail give any indication why it has failed. It's easiest to check via Webmin.

sendmail shows it went out. I am able like I said to get the Voicemail emails, but for somereason not the HylaFax / AvantFAX emails showing that it has been sent. it is kind of confusing as why would emails go out one way but not another way or should I say another program.

Since it is two different routines that create the email, could one of them be formatted such that your spam filter is grabbing it?

no. i have no spam filter set. that was my first thought even though I was getting them before.

so the other wild thing is that I just faxed my self something from a pots line I have. CLI shows it was received fine and emailed me. but no email.

can someone help point me in the right direction?

Look in /var/log/maillog and see what took place. See if the message even left the box or if it got rejected. Type "mailq" without the quotes at a linux command prompt and see if any messages are stuck in the queue. Hard to help you without some log info or something to go on.
