Hello all,

So i installed BX in a flash per Mundys 5 easy steps, but for some reason I am not able to receive incoming calls. outbound calls are OK, but when I attempt to call my GV number, it rings, then the Stealth attendant thing picks up ans she says to wait. then it rings 1.5 times and goes to VM. in the admin tab of the FreePBX it shows that one call comes in, so I'm not sure what the issue is.

I am running on a 2wire router/modem from ATT UVERSE.

PBX in a flash version- 1.7.5.5
FreePBX Version- 2.8.0.4
Asterisk Ver- 1.8.0

What else can I provide you guys with so that you can help me out?

Thanks in advance,

Moody

Sounds like it's not finding any extension with a phone configured and available. Did you skip a step :confused5:

I don't believe I skipped any steps. Whats odd is that when it goes to voicemail it actually says you have reached extension 701 or something along those lines.

Start with a softphone like X-Lite and then move on to troubleshooting your ATA. This article has some good tips on setting up an ATA.

Exact same issue here.
Followed all steps (built PIAF in a VMware VM).
Using X-Lite softphone, I can make calls but incoming calls never ring.
Caller gets IVR, followed by two rings, followed by message that no one at extension 701 was available to take my call.

does anything show in the log?

when you make an inbound call, what if anything shows up in /var/log/asterisk/full?

Here is the log from the time of the incoming call until hang-up.
I've edited redundant entries for length.

Notice the HTML?
That means the CID superfecta can't look up CID because it does not have the right password set in the module in FreePBX.
Go to FreePBX > Setup > CID Superfecta > Click on Default on the right side > Type in your MAINT password in the password field > reload.
This should solve your problem.

Yup. that did it. Thanks for the help.

First time I looked at the CID Superfecta screen, I didn't see anything really, so figured all was ok. This time, I noticed the "default" link.

Thanks again.
