i keep getting a message from the system stating that all circuits are busy. I login and throw asterisk into debug.

it tries to hit my 2 outbound trunks and then says can not dialout due to congestion...what the heck is going on with that?

maybe some sort of scheduled maint. or something....dunno...very concerning..

anything else I should be looking for?

I see this most often if my trunks or routing are not set up properly. Post your cli output during a call.

was working earlier i the day.

i was without internet service for a week. got it back and then it was working fine and then outta no where i went to try using my callback feature. tried it like 2 times, that didnt work.

then a few hours went by, so i tried to call into it again and then it was not available.

the trunks have been working fine for months. i had tried using them earlier in the day and worked fine by calling into system with them, and fine by using the hotel style reminders callback feature i have setup.

the only thing that was a bit odd is that the callback feature was not working for some reason, even though it had before.

So I tried to remove both trunks and then re-add them.

now the only thing working is my "didforsale.com" DID and IpKall.

I need some suggestions bad.

attached is the cli. says bad response from the ip of the proxy..... this is odd as this has never happened before.

also. i just did a restore to a point i know was working properly.

same thing as in this error log

keep inmind that tis is from a softphone trying to dial out, as i am sure you will gather. i can not even hit the server calling in on these DID's

update:

I can like i said call in on my DID4sale number and try extensions and it rings and voicemail will pickup. however now it does not email me the vociemail anymore..... i just am totally lost now

fixed.

problem - "MagicJack" and they changed my passoword on both lines i have.

solution - plug dongle back into windows pc and let it update, then run Magicjack utilities suite.

update password and proxy.

the proxy used to be something like
proxy1.chicago.talk4free.com and now it is proxy01.chicago.talk4free.com

crazy................

Wow. I didn't even notice that it was MagicJack. Personally, I think they do things like this to try to catch people like you who are violating the usage agreement, but that's just my opinion. :leaving:

no i think it has something to do with the fact it was only plugged in long enough to register it and then pulled right out to use on asterisk.

hey for the price u gotta love it, even with small problems like this.

if you have any suggestions on something close in price to thsi, i am all ears. everything else is much, much more expensive

Your MagicJack usage of $39.95 for the first year is worth about 3000 minutes with a reputable VOIP carrier. That's about 250 minutes per month or 50 hours per year. Obviously, your mileage may vary, but I wouldn't discount a decent VOIP provider.

Plus, you can call them and say "why isn't this working" instead of being down for a few weeks and wondering if it's because they noticed your usage pattern is above the average and cut you off, which is what MagicJack says it can (and does) do. :D

true on all aspects..:D

but again..hey, i will chance it for a while

Don't get me wrong - I'm all for free (or really cheap). It all depends on what you're using it for. ipkall works well for us for incoming calls to do testing and proof of concepts. Especially from cell phones, where no one is paying long distance (totally free, that way). Outbound is a little different, but we aggregate providers and have downstream clients so we get discounts on the termination fees.

If MagicJack works for you, then go for it. :smile5:

I think it would be great. I have been using 2 lines with piaf. and to be honest. I love it! the best thing is that i use one of them as a fax line for receiving and sending. and it works great.

I would love to see this new device be integrated into piaf.:D
