QUESTION Obi110 - UK settings

Looking to replace our ageing PIAF system on a Atom box, with a Pi version. Currently have a Digium card in the Atom, but we're down to just one analogue line now, and it obviously won't work with the Pi anyway.

The Obi110 looks interesting, but I'm concerned I'll not be able to set it up right for UK PSTN. Despite them selling it here for a while now, there seems a distinct lack of information of what settings to use for reliable operation.

Does anyone use these in the UK and have a working setup they'd be willing to share? Alternatively, would I be better off with a Cisco SPA3102, which might be easier to find a working setup for?

I use a North American firmware Linksys ATA and one of the problems I had initially was getting my analogue PBX to properly recognise incoming calls from the trunk with the different ring cadence. A quick google on cadence styles for the Obi110 brought up a thread where an Italian user was concerned but another person responded there are about 10 different cadence profiles you can choose from.

AFAIK it is just the cadences you need to customise for ringing and the telephone system tones. Features like caller ID should work but may need a tweak. Everything else should be fine.

Thanks. I think I'll pick one up and have a play with it to see if it's suitable. It's not like it's all that expensive. I think I've found another post that lists correct UK settings for it too.

I've got a couple of these and am just in the process of setting one up to bring a BT PSTN line into our PIAF box. There are a few bit of info around on UK settings, I didn't have to google too hard. One problem I did have initially was the OBi disconnect detection not working. The American default doesn't work for the UK. Changing the CPC signal duration to 90 seems to have sorted it.
