I am looking to use my home phone, only one line, Piaf all voip with Google voice. And a Linksys pap2.

What I am hoping to do is when I dial certain phone numbers have it then route back to the office and call from the routes I have setup there.

Not sure what the best way to do this would be.:confused5:

Sorry. A little more detail.

I have Piaf at home to "play with" as well as a production server at the office.

So I want when at home to use my cordless phone and either dial a pin or just striaght dial a certian "work related" number and then have the home Piaf box "connect" so to speak back to the office and use the routes for that number.

When you create the trunk between the two PBXs, use fron-internal on your work PBX then it will treat the incoming call from your home PBX as an internal call and use the outbound route rules.

If you use from-trunk, it will use the inbound rules and filter the call as if it was coming from the public network and not follow the outbound route rules.

great stuff... I have the toll free calling working just fine.. now for me to figure out why the calling extensions between is not working would be great..:banghead:

all in time!

Thanks for the help everyone,
Nathan

Another option is to use DISA (direct inward system access) on the work PBX. Have a hidden IVR choice (number 9 for example), during the voice prompts, press 9, then you are prompted for a PIN which then gives you dial-tone on the work PBX. Any calls from then on, act as if they are being dialed from the work PBX and follow its dialplan.

I use that all the time through my cell calling card app. But I am more or less talking about since I have the outbound portion working now. as an example... my wife would pick up the phone at home and call 1701 and then it would ring my desk extension 701 at the office.

For some reason when following the guide, when I translate that over to both systems, it doesnt work. Just something I think later I will have to mess with.
