On occasion, I need to park an outbound call. My Park button on the Aastra 57i only works for inbound calls. Is there anyway to change this?

The park button is transfering the call to the park location, so test to see if you can transfer an outbound call manually to another xtn, if not, check your dial options in 'General Settings'

Same issue..

My situation is that I may make an outbound call to a client, then at some point consult with another employee in their office. I then need to pick up the call I originally placed in their office. if I can't park it since it's an outbound call, how would I pick up a call that I placed on-hold at my desk?

Just a little confused.

hold is local

If you place a call on hold locally (at your desk), your phone should indicate this by flashing the line that is on hold. At least this is the behavior I'm used to. To pickup the locally held call, just press the line button w/ the flashing light next to it.

Sorry for the confusion... I meant pick up a call on another extension; other than the the one I placed it on hold with. Especially if I cannot park what was an outbound call in the first place.

Try adding a capital 'T' to the General Settings page, >> Dialing Options >> Asterisk Outbound Dialing Command (the second field down).

I know this works for for internal calls when adding a 'T' to the Asterisk Dial Command field (field #1).

I noticed I cannot do this.
Not sure why this wouldn't be enabled by default.
Under what situation would I want to be able to park inbound calls, but not outbound.

These are my current settings.

Just add a T to the outbound dial command options ?

Here's some information about Dial Command Options.
