A good bit has been written in the last few weeks about using Cloud Computing technology, specifically Amazon's Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to host Asterisk PBX systems.
This is just a thumbnail post to provide some links to resources. Keep in mind that the Cloud Computing solution is NOT cheap. The entry level pricing for a 24/7 Asterisk server is in the $75 per month range. That's about double to triple the starting price of hosted service from Lylix or Aretta. Keep in mind that the pricing for all of these hosted solutions does NOT include the termination and DID costs from your SIP or IAX provider.
