PBXIAF silver - sending fax

Hi,

Just a quick question. I selected PBXIAF silver for production install. This is my first install with TDM410 card 2xFXO/2xFXS

FXO1-analog fax line
FXS1- fax machine
VOIP Trunk

I want to receive faxes over analog line but send them out via sip trunk. Would I need a T38 support which is not available for asterisk 1.4?

What is the best solution if I need T.38, Upgrade to Bronze or Purple to have asterisk 1.6.2 or 1.8.X and install FFA license?

If you have a physical fax machine, I don't think T.38 would be necessary.
You could do some dialplan magic to route all outbound calls over a different trunk than default if you so desire.
