phpmyadmin/asteridex

Hi, I am running a new IncrediblePBX2 system (Purple). All functioning well with the following exceptions:

1. phpmyadmin does not work... gives mysql error user: root password: YES
2. Asteridex works to edit and calls the local extension but fails with all circuits busy error. The same number may be called manually with success.

I attempted to follow Ward's nerdvittles Asteridex4 article but got lost when some of the instructions seem as if they may be deprecated at this time.

Has anyone seen this and have a solution?

Did you change the root MySQL password?
ACB on outbound calls? Can you post some call logs?

Yes, I changed my MySql password. Didn't work until I did. It was still set to default. I worked through Ward's Asteridex tutorial but the info regarding setting outbound trunk seemed dated... extensions_additional.conf did not have the globals he said to find and the file also said it was autogenerated so don't mess with it.

I expect the outbound trunk info is what is needed but not sure where to set it.

I just did this two days ago. I opened the extensions_additional.conf fileand did a search for OUT_1, etc. and found multiple trunks associated with OUT_1 through approximately OUT_20 or so. I then found the two trunks associated with the trunks I wanted to use (vitelity and sipgate) and wrote those down.

Then I opened extensions_custom.conf from within FreePBX and followed the instructions by changing the numbers to the numbers associated with the two trunks that I wanted to use. BTW, the[custom-callboth] section was already populated and I didn't have to copy/paste it.

Why did you change it? Never change the MySQL password!

I changed it because I had no access to Asteridex at all. It was set to default and Asteridex would not come up at all. After changing it came up but had a problem with outbound dialing (maybe dandy_don has a fix for me). Phpmyadmin does not work not, not sure if it ever worked as I never tried it until I found that it was required for Asteridex to work properly.

Thanks, I will go back over the instructions. I guess I misunderstood what I was supposed to do. I was looking to change extensions_additional.conf not use it as a reference into extensions_custom.conf. Thanks.

PHPMyAdmin should work fine - but since you changed the MySQL password, it probably doesn't.
That's strange that Asteridex didn't work until you changed the password. Usually the opposite. What about it did not work?

It wasn't able to open the database. I now have Asteridex running after editing the extensions_custom.conf file.

PHPMyAdmin still now working. I have three installations of IPBX2 and the other two worked w/o problems. This one seems to be the only problematic one.

Any suggestions on setting the root password in PHPMYAdmin? I hesitate to change the mySQL password at this point as it will probably break Asteridex.

Where can I configure phpMyAdmin. I changed the password in the /var/www/html/maint/myPhpAdmin/config.inc.php to match my mySql login. Restart server but still no go. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the myPhpAdmin module... no go.

Any ideas? Do without? :^)

The module (re)install does nothing. Simply an iframe of /maint/phpMyAdmin. Umm...something obviously broke it. The PIAF team has it auto-login. Let me see if I can break it on one of my dev boxes - will let you know.

Thanks, I would still like to know as I have another install to do, but I purchased FOP2 last night (looks REAL good) and when I installed it FOP2 fixed phpMyAdmin. Yeah... sort of squirrely but I won't complain.
