I'm getting ready to move my personal installation from trixbox to PIAF. Unfortunately the best reason for me to move to PIAF is the update functionality which is currently broken for the Asterisk 1.6. (At least I think it is.)

Is there a status update for that issue?

I know the Asterisk 1.6 isn't for production yet, but it seems to work fine with my new Sangoma B600 - using DAHDI channels. I'll be migrating over no matter what the status of the update script.

Thanks for any pointers.

as of last week most of the 1.6 tree has some problems with the current releases. I see 1.6.0.3 just came out and I have not had a chance to test it. The update source is still disabled until digium finally gets a stable version of the software which is not RC. Last week you could not even compile the 1.6 tree until they released an RC.

So we err on the side of caution and the current release is the original 1.6.0 which seems to work and compile just fine. Somethime next week I will try to update the 1.6 tree so the latest load files reflect the current version of digium *if it works*.

As for update source for the 1.6 tree that will be a while yet as there is some problems upgrading between increments which I am still working out. Your best bet is to wait till the new load packages are released and then do a new install. Then once the update schema is reliable it will be turned back on in the sushi software suite for 1.6.

Thanks for the update. I'd read that digium was giving you lots of trouble with the new 1.6 and zaptel to dahdi changes.

Thanks for all the work!
