Hey Everyone,

As many of you know, I started down the path of PiaF just a couple weeks ago. I've ordered some test equipment to start with. Well, our old Avaya Voicemail system crashed again today. After an hour on the phone with Avaya, it was back up and running only to crash 15 minutes after I left work AGAIN... I am wondering if I can setup a temporary machine with PiaF to act solely as a voicemail box for our analog Avaya PBX? If so, are there some instructions or any documentation on doing this?

Thanks,

Jason

Yes and no.

If you can put a PRI between your Avaya and a PiaF box, you could take care of it. If you don't have that ability, a lot more questions need to be answered.

Basically by sending calls to the PRI, you would direct to new mailboxes. But I don't know enough about your Avaya and it's limitations/abilities to tell you much beyond that.
