PIAF/Asterisk PC Based Op Panel

I had heard of a PC based Asterisk OP panel before but I do not remember what it is. Does anyone out there know of one?

Nope, it was different. It was not iSymphony. It also required creating an asterisk manager in the CONF files. I tried using it once, could not get it to work. Maybe it is in there somewhere. Where is the asterisk manager file stored? For some reason, I think it was something like ASTADMIN.

Has anyone had any luck using iSymphony with PIAF?

I use the free version of ISymphony with PIAF. It does what it is supposed to do. I wish it had chat enabled and outlook integration but beggars can't be choosers Just be aware that the free version has some features crippled and the paid version is to much cash for small shops. IMO

I can not figure out how to install JRE. Can you tell me how?

Download the jre rpm file from java.com it will be in the form of <filename>.rpm.bin
then chmod a+x <filename>.rpm.bin and then ./<filename>.rpm.bin

I think you can get the download from this page http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

Ok. It is installed, and it says this when I try to start it:

I followed the instructions in this guide http://www.i9technologies.com/component/option,com_docman/task,doc_download/gid,61/Itemid,94/
and it if I rememeber right it worked the first time. I installed the freepbx module and registered the software before I started using it, if that makes a difference. You have to register the software even for the free version in order to get the 5 user license.
