I have installed PIAF3 Blue, configured it and have been using it for over 8 hrs. After configuration and module updates I had no warnings. I logged in several times later and still no warnings. About 5 hrs later I was greeted with an email telling me "SECURITY NOTICE: .htaccess files are disabled on this webserver. Please enable themTo protect the integrity of your server, you must allow overrides in your webserver's configuration file for the User Control Panel. For more information see: http://wiki.freepbx.org/display/F2/Webserver+Overrides
I followed the link and made the necessary change to the /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf (AllowOveride to All as it was none) and restarted Apache. No luck, Security Issue flag still there. I then rebooted the server, still no luck flag still on opening page.

Any words of wisdom as to how to get rid of this flag and why it didn't show up after initial install and only after about 8 hrs up time?

EDIT - I guess I was just impatient. After waiting a few minutes, the GUI seem to update and remove the warning.

I realize this post is a year old, but I'm experiencing the same thing. I edited my httpd.conf file and changed the "AllowOverride None to "AllowOverride All" as directed. I've also restarted the httpd service and then also restarted the full PIAF machine. The warning still appears in my PIAF status as something that needs to be taken care of.

Any suggestions as to what I need to do to correct this?
