PIAF Coming Attractions

The new preconfigured FreePBX modules in PIAF 1.7.5.5.2 are getting rave reviews from those that have tried it. Thanks for all the feedback!

Now that it's stable, we want to move forward quickly to add the components that really make PBX in a Flash shine.

Within the next couple days, we plan to add CallerID Superfecta and the PIAF Endpoint Manager to the base install. In addition, email will be preconfigured to let folks send emails with no additional configuration other than plugging in your email address in FreePBX.

If you have other suggestions for functionality that should be added to the base installs, please leave us a comment.

I think it would be helpful for new PIAF adopters to have part of the setup include a question about the settings for externip and localnet rather than having to go to a config file... Its comes up ALL the time on this forum.

Would also like to see us add in *67 type caller id blocking for users... This is what I added to my extensions_custom.conf file:

[outbound-allroutes-custom]
exten => _*67.,1,SetCallerPres(prohib_passed_screen)
exten => _*67.,n,Goto(from-internal,${EXTEN:3},1)
exten => _*67.,n,Hangup()

SOunds good. I would like to see SNMP part of the base install as well as well as the updated Webmin.

The updated webmin is nice but they change versions too fast and webmin is installed from the CD. Unless they have finally let webmin into the centos repo I am afraid you will have to use webmin's update feature.

SNMP is nice but I don't think there is that much call for it yet.

Another thought. It would be nice if PHP was updated to what ever the a2b php de jour happens to be.

Also, a provision for externhosts if you are on a dynamic ip, or your ip.sh script auto configured.
