PIAF update-able to Incredible PBX for Asterisk 1.8?

Hi all,

Sorry with the dumb questions, but this wasn't obvious to me. Can I upgrade my running PIAF to Incredible PBX for Asterisk 1.8? If yes, do I just wget the script and then have at it?

Or does it require an entirely fresh install?

Better off starting over. There have been lots of changes. And it will erase all of your stuff anyway.

depends but probably not.

You have to be running the current release of asterisk 1.8 first installed by our iso Version 1.7.5.5.3 . I have no idea if the old 1.7.5.5.2 ISO will work but it should.

If you are running an earlier version of asterisk such as 1.2 - 1.6 then no you have to scrub and reinstall.

If you are running the beta version of Asterisk 1.8 you may be able to upgraded Atserisk 1.8 beta to Asterisk 1.8 final... but I suspect the installer for incredible 1.8 just wont work.

PIAF Purple and incredible 1.8 are tightly integrated with each other and only the most recent versions work with each other correctly.

So really the simplest is to do a new install used our ISO 1.7.5.5.3

Sounds like a fresh install. It will be very cool to re-purpose a SIPGate trunk or two!
