Hello community,

I just got off a call with bandiwdth.com. they require to attach the pbx to their edgemark.
Away from the fact that I ask about the topic earlier and I was told it's not required. (which was my fault, never trust a salesperson)

That means i have to reconfigure my PIAF now, activation is tomorrow.

what do I have to do to use PIAF 1.4 with 2 NIC's ?
do I have to configure routing?

Thanks for your Help
Mathias

Hi

You should not have to configure any routing.

Asterisk will join the internal calls to the external calls.

Pay close attention to the firewall settings, make sure the firewall is enabled on both interfaces.

In theory it should be as simple as inserting another card, booting up, type system-config-network, fill in the gaps, reboot, and start passing calls.

You may also want to leave the gateway blank on the clean side of the PBX, but the dirty side will need a gateway set.

As an aside, which may not be appropriate in your case, you can have more than one IP address on one NIC as an Alias.
