I was hoping for some help / direction / input on where I can locate information for a custom Piaf setup. The details of the system are as follows:

1) A caller calls did 1 and is routed to a context that asks them to enter their support ID number.

2) Support ID number is read back to caller for confirmation, stored in a variable and then a lookup is performed against a MS SQL database for the entered support ID number.

3) If the support ID number exists, the caller is asked to a) enter their phone number, b) record their name, c)record their email address and d) record any additional details they wish to include.

4) The recordings above will be kept and stored on the file system (preferably MS Fielsystem, but can work with linux) with a pointer from the MS SQL. Details they keyed in, such as their telephone number and ID number will be stored in the MS SQL database.

The system above will be using Cepstral to read back information they have keyed in for confirmation before performing database operations.

Can someone please point me in the right direction as to where I can locate information on:

1) Having Piaf connect to a MS SQL database?

2) How we would be able to change the recording file type (from gsm to wav or mp3) and transfer the recorded files to the MS file system?

Any assistance you could provide me with on this matter is greatly appreciated. If anyone has some code samples to perform these types of tasks, that would also be greatly appreciated.

Also, could anybody recommend a third party (or themselves) who would be able to build this application for us? If this is an individual who could perform this work, please pm me. I would like to know what the cost would be to have you perform this work. If you need any additional information on the details of this project, please let me know.

Regards,

Zach

Anyone...

I realize the post is less than a day old. However, I was hoping to get a response sooner. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Pretty broad questions (and several of them!). In short, yes it all can be done & through some custom asterisk scripts/contexts work. A great scripting resource is voipinfo.org of course, beyond that, unless someone has done something similar that may be your best course of action to at least get started.

Is there anything in particular I should be looking for? I am new to the linux world, so I really do not know what I am supposed to be looking for.

well...

Is there anyone who is willing / able to point me in the right direction as to what I should be looking for?

If any clarification is needed, please let me know so I can try to further help you help me.

zachary, frankly what you are asking for is a complex script that's well beyond the stock PiaF/FreePBX install. This would require a custom script and you've admitted your are new to Linux.

I would guess it would take about as long to write this script as it would to do the research and explain to you how to write it.

We have an in-house programmer that could do this. I'd guess the cost would be $300 to $600 depending on final specifications supplied. You can email me at [email protected] if you wish to discuss more.
