Hello guys! (and gals! :wink5: )
I am hitting another road block here...
I have a PiAF connected to the PSTN with PRI, I would like to setup busy forward so we can receive several calls at the same time on the same number.
Thanks for any pointers and tips !

Hmm... :confused5:

Are you sure you have a PRI?

What kind of card are you using to connect your PRI?

There is not really anything special to do if you do have a PRI as you should have up to 23 voice channels so you shouldn't have a busy phone issue... Maybe I'm reading into your inquiry wrong.

What is your call flow? Are you saying that you have a specific DID that is not routed to an IVR but to a person's desk that you would like to ring elsewhere if that person is on the phone?

Looks like I got all wrong ...
Yes, I have a TE412P, with one span connected. On that span, 7 b channels and 1d.
The problem is that I have one DID, that goes to the main office, I did setup an inbound route for it. When 2 people call that DID, the second one gets a busy signal ...
Does that make sense now ?

Thanks for your reply

Hi

If that is the case, you probably need to have conversation with your T1 provider.

A DID on a T1 should call the next channel if the first is busy.

It does it for any other number.
Let say someone calls 555-1234, and someone else 555-2345, then it jumps to the next available channel. If they 555-3456 at the same time, the second caller gets busy tone.
The other thing is that the DID is directed to a ring group. Does that make any difference ? I don't think so ... Right ?
On the other hand, the provider we have is the only one in the province, so they sometime do sneaky things .....

Is there a way at my end to go around that problem ?
I was thinking when the call comes in, forward to another channel (DID) to free up the line for other calls. Is that feasible ? How do I go about that ?

Thank you for your replies ...
